Georgia Industrial Assessment Center (Geo-IAC) at Clark Atlanta University


Clark Atlanta University, in collaboration with Kennesaw State University, plays a role in the Georgia Industrial Assessment Center (Geo-IAC) program. Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Geo-IAC provides free energy and productivity assessments to small- and medium-sized manufacturers, aiming to enhance their operational efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

Program Information


The Geo-IAC program is fully supported by the DOE’s Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC). The program offers complimentary, no-cost assessments to manufacturers who meet the following criteria:

  • Annual energy bills between $100,000 and $3.5 million,
  • Annual revenue less than $250 million,
  • Manufacturing NAICS Classifications of 31-33 (formerly SIC codes 20–39),
  • Location within 150 miles of Clark Atlanta University or Kennesaw State University.
